What is the Lymphatic System?

The lymphatic system is a network of vessels and nodes that carries a clear, yellowish fluid
called lymph throughout your body. This fluid transports essential nutrients, removes waste, and
helps fight infections. Unlike blood vessels, which are powered by the heart, lymph vessels rely
on your muscle movements to circulate fluid.


Key components of the lymphatic system include:


● Superficial vessels: Found near the skin, these vessels drain fluid from tissues and
direct it to deeper vessels.
● Deep vessels: Found near internal organs, these vessels carry lymph to larger
collecting ducts.
● Lymph nodes: Located in areas like the armpits, groin, and neck, these nodes filter
lymph, break down waste, and produce antibodies to fight infections.
Ultimately, the lymphatic fluid drains into two main trunks, the right lymphatic duct and the
thoracic duct, which return the cleaned fluid to your bloodstream.

The course is perfect to recharge and fortify your immune system during the cold season. Classes are 1-hour sessions held every Wednesday, and Friday at 10 am at Untamed Fitness in Mountlake Terrace, WA.

Each class includes:

● Myofascial release to relieve tension and improve tissue health.

Each Friday class boosts your progress with active cardio and resistance training.
